Make a 6x8 journal perfect for doodling, painting, collage and just about anything else. You’ll leave with a completed book with hand-decorated covers, pockets, button & beaded string closure and beaded spine.

Supply List (Bring)

• Beads
• Button
• Photocopied color pictures, a favorite post card, photocopy of a favorite artwork or personal work of art
• Blow Drier (optional, but speeds up paint drying)
• 3 - 12x12 sheets of scrapbook paper
• Basic toolkit for all bookbinding classes:
  Kits will be available to purchase for $22 that will include the starred items as well as bookbinding needles & beeswax. You can find most of these items at your local craft store

·        Bone Folder *

·        Bookbinding Awl* - these awls do not taper towards the handle – the metal piece is the same width all the way up.

·        Xacto Knife and/or Box Knife *

·        12” or longer metal ruler

·        Large Cutting Mat

·        Pencil & White Polymer Eraser *

·        Glue & Paint Brushes (cheap kid’s brush or chip brush should be fine) *

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy – we’ll be using acrylic paint & PVA glue, and neither comes out of clothes easily once dry.
