| The Southern Arts Federation is pleased to present information about the 2010 Craft Organization Development Association (CODA) Leadership Conference April 6-8, 2010 in Savannah, GA. The CODA Leadership Conference is a rare opportunity to share ideas, learn successful strategies, and benefit from the experiences of others through presentations, discussions and informal dialogue; gaining valuable insight into the newest ideas and projects created by some of the most forward thinking organizations devoted to craft. Now more than ever craft organizations need to forge strong and creative networks to survive, and prosper. The theme of this year's conference is Aspects of Identify. As organizations struggle to market themselves, grow memberships, expand services, and attract customers and funders, establishing a clear understanding of the organization's identity is a critical step toward successfully reaching its goals.
Conference Highlights: • Savannah Mayor Otis S. Johnson, Keynote Speaker • Challenges and Creative Solutions in the Current Economy • New Media and Technologies • Craft and Art in Education Programs • Transitioning Craft Students into the Workplace • The Savannah Story features the synergies between SCAD, the city and historical preservation • Tour of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) state-of-the-art facilities and studios • Post-conference tour of Georgia's Coast (Friday, April 9). Visit the CODA website for the conference registration form, hotel and travel information, scholarship opportunities and other details.
